Introduction to families

"Dear Family" message

Dear host family, My name is Isabel but you can call me bella. I am 24 years old and I currently live in South Africa with my mum and little sister in a city called Pietermaritzburg. I am a kind, free spirited, joyful and bubbly person. This will be my second time being an au pair. Before deciding on the aupair in the netherland program, I was an aupair the United States of America for 3 years. I grew very attached to and had an amazing bond with my first host family and stayed with them for the entire 3 years. I took care of 3 girls that have become like little sisters to me and are not 5, 9, and 12 years old. I decided to become an aupair in high school, because I love to travel and adore children. I like that children are not afraid to have fun and speak their minds and are honest with their actions. I am excited to be a part of their upbringing and play a role in their lives no matter how small it is.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I have previous experience as an aupair in Chicago. I took care of 3 girls ages 2,6,8 at the time. I handled their day to day schedules as well as over night babysitting when my host parents were out of town. I think I am a good choice because I am responsible, reliable, observant, and quite capable of taking care of myself as well as your little ones. I was brought up in an independent household and know how to carry myself with pride and decency. I take my duties as an aupair seriously and use my better judgement in everything I do as I will be taking care of your kids and home. I know that there is a time and place to be serious or playful. I am open minded and have no problem following rules.

Hobbies and other interests

My hobbies include reading, writing, listening to music, travelling, visiting coffee shops, museums, libraries, and going to the gym. I like riding my bike- especially with friends early in the morning to watch sunrises or just going for rides around town. I'm not the type of person to have a large friend group, I prefer 2-3 really close friends whom I share a good connection with. I am a very friendly person and have no problem making friends and adapting to new routines and surroundings.
