While I don't have formal tutoring experience, I am a mother of 4 children who are now all grown and out of school. My eldest daughter did Impaq home schooling through high school. I now have 2 beautiful granddaughters aged 2 and 4 years old.

Introduction to families
Dear Family I have 26 years of experience raising my own 4 children, having 2 grand children, as well as being a mother figure for what I call children from other mothers! I have always been called "mommy" at our ringtennis sports club and having my own business has meant that I have been able to juggle my time to be an involved parent with school and sports activities. I believe that being present is the greatest gift you can give a child, and in the case of parents in today's busy and demanding world who are not as fortunate to have that time, an au pair makes a satisfactory step-in.
I believe that with age comes patience and a gentle understanding. There is so much pressure on children today to do well in sports and academics that often their special qualities and talents go unnoticed. Although I believe very strongly that children thrive where there is routine and discipline, they also need to be able to play as children indoors and outdoors. They have naturally exploring minds and outside of school work they can let their creativity and skills develop. Being able to balance work and play will always give you happy children, and happy children make happy parents!
I would say my favourite hobby is gardening. Having 4 children never really allowed me time to myself, so going to the movies or camping for a weekend is also always a special treat. I enjoy reading and entertaining my friends at home when our diaries finally free up! Before we sold our motorbikes, my husband and I enjoyed riding, and now that he has a capable bakkie, we like to 4x4.
