Description of tutoring experience

I am willing and able to immerse myself in the children's curriculum. Having said that, I as a single mother, I home-schooled my son (now 21 years old) to speak, read, and write our mother tongue, while he schooled and socialised as an English native speaker. This was important for me from a cultural preservation aspect. Throughout my son's primary and high schooling I have been an active parent who tutored him. Thank fully I studies similar subjects as his, notwithstanding that what I didn't learn at school, I had learnt in life as we didn't have Life Orientation as a school subject, I have the benefit of living that subject. I later took up a part-time tutoring job teaching none native speakers of my mother tongue while we lived in Cape Town. These were mainly rofessional who wanted to improve their social convo skills. My last client however was 2 children who were learning isiXhosa at school and needed to improve their grades.

Hi Family, Thank you for taking the time and pausing to e-meet me, I look forward to meeting you some day soon. My experience in years as a parent of a now 21 year 4th year varsity student whom I've raised as a single parent give me cause as a responsible and successful mother and guidian. I took sabatical leave from corporate work since Apr. 2022 and now that I am ready to work again, I am looking for aomething that is more fulfilling by taking care of others. I am a non smoking Christian mother of sober habits who is both light-hearted and serious when life calls for it. I am very protective of my loved ones, and those I care for, be they family or my biblical neighbour. I live by the principle: #Love thy neighbour! I am keen to take up a sponsored 1st aid course if it is a requirement, as I am currently not in a position to fund it myself. I trust this gives you an idea of whom I am before we meet in an interview.

I am caring and protecrive of those entrustes in my care. I believe I would make the perfect au pair because I an confident, open, friendly, and communicate well. Being a mother to a boy child, I have the best of both worlds in understanding both genders, despite the generational gap. I am self sufficient, proactive and am a practical yet creative problem solver who is analytical and logical in views. I am a mentor and cheerleader at heart!

Kindly note that this is a character reference of me as a single parent. Mrs Tanya Coetzee is a friend of mine since 2006, and we have both raise our sons' who are exactly the same age in the same neighbourhood and and social circles. She was also apart of my 'village' that supported me in raising my son, so much that I shoukd my appreciation in various ways, including volunteer to house and dog sit when they where vacationing at various times until our recent relocation from Cape Town to Pretoria in 2021.
