My name is Tumelo and I am 35 years old. I live on my own property in the north of Pretoria with my two boys and eight dogs. I’m a First-Aid certified, PGCE (ECD) student, who holds a BA degree in the Theory of Literature and African Languages. My passion is in Early Childhood Development and I’d like to contribute to curbing the literacy levels among young people in the country.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

My professional background is in Administration, having worked in the university environment for over 12 years. I have worked with children of varying ages since 2011, primarily in the development work I do through the NPO I founded, as a facilitator, au pair, tutor, and English language teacher. I enjoy working with children in the foundation years of their lives, as their minds are most malleable in those years, but can connect with children all through to their late teens.

Hobbies and other interests

I’m generally introverted, don’t drink or smoke, and enjoy yoga, reading, and taking long walks with my dogs in my free time.
