Introduction to families
Hi there, My name is Zen K, and I've recently completed my Honours degree in Art Therapy. I am passionate about helping people and have been working with children since high school. In the next two years, I aim to pursue my Foundation Phase PGCE while dedicating the remaining time to au pairing and my art.
Completing my honours in art therapy has given me the skills to approach every interaction with your children thoughtfully and adapt to unforeseen situations. I aspire to be a positive influence, nurturing their creativity and sense of wonder for the world. I've worked with both infants and older children, gaining experience in both mainstream and special needs school settings.
As noted earlier, I'm on the path to becoming a registered teacher. Outside my au pair role, I'll be dedicating time to my studies. During my free moments, I enjoy creating art, spending time with loved ones and being outdoors.

While studying at Wits, I worked as an assistant for early childhood education. I collaborated with other assistants to create engaging and educational games that catered to the individual needs and milestones of each child in their early development. Together, we applied play-based strategies to support learning and behavior management. Clear and consistent communication about the daily routine and children's well-being was essential for the daycare service we provided to parents.
