Introduction to families
"Dear Family" message
Good day, host family I come from a small community in Johannesburg, and when I first became an au pair in 2018, I looked after three children. It was a wonderful experience to travel abroad, and since then, I have been an au pair for about four families. It has been such a blessing to travel, experience different cultures, eat different foods, and make new friends abroad. In my spare time, I enjoy visiting museums, hiking, and being in the water because it makes me feel like a little mermaid. I'm excited to join a new family, gain more experience in childcare and be a part of family that is in my home country. Thank you!
Why I would make the perfect au pair
I have the skills necessary for caring for children, and the fact that my host family will trust me with their children makes me the ideal au pair. Even in my own tiny ways, lending a hand matters. I'm confident that I can pick up a lot from the family during this experience, and I'm eager to get along well with them. I'm gaining knowledge about life from a perspective that is outside of my comfort zone. And these memories will always be cherished.
Hobbies and other interests
I love reading, watching movies, swimming and hiking.

Employer comments
Megan is a highly responsible and sensible person, in addition to being attentive and friendly. She and the kids got on very well after only a day of being with eachother. They felt calm and safe being with her. Megan has a great ability to think creatively regarding activities that she and the kids got up to on their own. Meanwhile, she was always mindful of all the particular ways we would like our kids to be brought up; what to eat and things to avoid. After Megans au pair term with us, both my wife and I, as well as our children, feel that it was a privilege to have her as a part of our family and we have no hesitation in recommending her to another family.
