In 2018 I opened a daycare. I started with 7 children, with 1 employee. She had a Early Childhood Development qualification so it made sense to position myself as her assistant. I assisted with tutoring the kids, changing diapers and feeding the children. In a month, 1 teacher, per week would get 1 day off & I would take care of the classes on these particular days. The teachers would give me the exercises for the day and I would follow it as instructed. What I learnt in terms of tutoring over the experience:- 1) Teaching through play activities. 2) Reading/understanding a book through asking them to explain the pictures. 3) Promoting independence. 4) Pretending playing. 5) Fine motor skills activities (drawing inside the lines). 6) Teaching numbers and counting. 7) Teaching letters and sounds. 8) Teaching music, dance and rhythm through nursery rhymes. 9) Teaching manners (patience, please, thank you). 10) Safety. 11) Having a routine. 12) Potty training and much much more…

Introduction to families
Dear Family My name is Zinhle, I’m Zee in short. I currently reside in Morningside Rivonia with my fiancé and 6 year old daughter. I am family oriented. I am a very generous person. I adapt easily and I like to think of myself as a student of life, as one can never know enough (we learn something new every day). I’m open minded and attentive. I’m ambitious and my calling more than anything is working with children, hence I studied social development. I believe in honesty and communication, therefore I appreciate criticism, as it allows me to improve my services and improve how I do things in general.
I studied social work because I felt that in society a lot of families are broken and hoped that I can play my part in contributing in the well fare of children. I am very family oriented and have raised two of my nephews (ages 15 and 22) as their mother (my sister) traveled a lot due to her career. I have a background in running a child care institution (2018 - 2022) and am proud to say that the parents of the children that were enrolled with me were very happy and satisfied with me. With the background that I have in child care I have obtained experience in tutoring and fun learning activities. I have a 5 year old little girl who is very happy and full of life because, with the help of my fiancé, we have made it a priority to raise her in a warm and lively household. I am willing to extend my hours if needed as well as come in on Sundays if need may be. I would make a perfect au pair because I am passionate about kids whether they may be my own or not. N. B. I currently do not have a car but I'm flexible to use alterative transport platforms to transport the kids, such as Uber Parent.

6 year old boy
Picking him up in the morning and dropping him at school. Picking him up in the afternoon. Preparing him food and snacks. Taking him to extra curriculums on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Changing him from school uniform to his clothes or whatever he needed to wear for particular curriculums such as swimming etc. Doing homework with him Monday to Thursday. Bathing him for bed after homework. Sometimes I would have to run errands, such as going to the dry cleaners, picking up some essentials at the shops and picking up the post box on Wednesdays. Sometimes I had to do extra babysitting such as late evenings and Saturday mornings till afternoon.
