"Dear Family" message

Dear Family. My name is Nomandla short for “Nomah” I am 25 years of age residing in Durban CBD. I am an older sister to 3 amazing boys and I am the only girl. Being the eldest one has in a way made me the deputy parent as I have a big age gap between me and my brothers the one after me is 15 the third born is 13 and then the last bit is 9. So I do treat them as my own time to time.I am a Family oriented person I have a very big family lots of cousins who do don’t live far from where we live so on weekends we usually spend time together especially on Sundays after church. I finished my Matric in 2016. 2018 I went to DUT and I studied Drama I majored in Educational Theatre and Singing. I enjoyed both my majores with singing it helped me sharpen my Talents and with Educational theatre That where my love and curiosity of working with children began as this module focused mostly in Child development through theatre. We went around KZN performing children’s Theatre and doing puppetry I enjoyed that so much their faces during and after the performances warmth my heart. Hence why the following year on 2021 after Graduating I decided to join Aupair South Africa. Luckily I got a Family I took care of a beautiful 3 years old toddler. It was an amazing experience the family treated me as their own the contract lasted for a year.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I would make a good Aupair because being around kids is something that I got used and enjoyed it from a young age as I have previously mentioned that I am the oldest at home even with my cousins I’m the oldest one so I’ve taken care of babies pretty much my whole life. And how that I do have experience professionally with that I think I know what is expected of me though I know that different families require different things but I do have a bit of an idea as far as that goes. Beside that I ak very bubbly energetic loving person ohw and I’m also very creative love art.

Job description

Took care of baby Hlelo from 7:30 am to 5 till her mom came back from work. I would bath her in the morning feed her around 8:30 then we would do some childhood development things like your ABC’s I’d teach her that do nursery songs that was her favourites around 10 : 30 we she would have her healthy snack we played with dolls after that at 12:30 it was her nap time, and that was the time for me to do chores I would do her laundry did that twice a week clean our room as we shared one prepare her afternoon lunch so by the time she wakes up she eat. She woke up around 2. 3 times a week would take a walk to the nearest park to go okay there around 5 she take her bath and I feed her 5:30 or at 6 I rest.
