Introduction to families

"Dear Family" message

Dear Family My name is Kelsey L and I’m a FAA commercial pilot from South Africa, who is currently living in Cape Town with my parents and younger sister. After finishing high school and obtaining my private pilot license, I had the opportunity to continue my flight training in Fort Pierce, Florida. Unfortunately, in October 2020 I had to return home to South Africa due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus Pandemic. Since then, I have continued to fly alongside au pairing for a wonderful family.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

Besides au pairing I have other childcare experiences. While I was in high school I tutored young underprivileged girls at a children’s home. During the June/July holiday break, I was also involved in a youth holiday club which encouraged underprivileged children to stay off the streets and learn about God. We also had the opportunity to get to know each child personally while they ate the breakfast and lunch we had provided. I also have babysitting experience as my extended family has a lot of little cousins. I would describe myself as an optimistic, friendly and open-minded young woman who approaches every obstacle and challenge with complete confidence and enthusiasm. Throughout my high school and piloting career I have proved to be very reliable, responsible and organized. I always strive to do my best in everything I do and I am always willing to offer assistance wherever it is needed.

Hobbies and other interests

I enjoy playing a number of sports including: hockey, squash, trail running, hiking and so much more. In my free time, I also enjoy reading books from many genres such as historical fiction, science-fiction and classics such as Harry Potter. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Many Thanks
