Introduction to families
"Dear Family" message
Dear family, I would like to shortly introduce myself; my name is Mienke M and I am 22 years old. I was homeschooled for most of my school career and matriculated in 2019. In 2020 I graduated with a Higher certificate in Commercial Photography. Since then I have been an Au Pair. I have worked for a few families, short-term and long-term. I absolutely love being an Au Pair and looking after children. I have always had such a passion and love for spending time with kids. I worked for a family in Stellenbosch for the better part of two years and recently left that family only because I moved away from Stellenbosch. I am now living in the Hemel en Aarde valey in Hermanus and am looking for a new family to help out.
Why I would make the perfect au pair
I am the oldest child in the family, which means I have many cousins that I have babysat over the years from the ages of a few months to about 14. I also have a younger brother who I helped with his schoolwork and drove around to activities. I am very used to taking care of children and I love doing it as well. Being homeschooled my mom raised me to be very family-orientated, do lots of chores in the house, and most days of the week I did cook for my family. I really enjoy cooking and baking daily. I am very patient with children and I always have so much fun with them. I am a very cautious driver. I am very responsible and reliable. Au Pairing has been the biggest part of my life in the last few years and I am not looking to stop anytime soon. I have never had an issue with a family of the child that is under my care. I would love to start a new adventure with a new family.
Hobbies and other interests
I love cooking and baking. I am very artistic. I love drawing and sewing and painting. I spend much of my free time doing crochet projects. I am also a qualified photographer. I love being outside and doing outside activities like gardening. I love animals and the outdoors and would much rather spend time having fun outside than being on a screen inside.
