I have obtained experience with Early Childhood Development, working with young children (3 - 6 years) from 2018 - 2021. I have worked as an Au Pair offering homework assistance and English, Afrikaans and Maths tutoring to children of various ages. Other subjects tutored include all CAPS primary school subjects and high school subjects, as well as Cambridge and IEB curricula. I have volunteered at The Mamelodi Initiative as a Co-Teacher, teaching grades 4 - 12 in all CAPS subjects (English, Maths, Afrikaans, History, Geography, Accounting, Business Studies, Consumer Studies, CAT, Technology). I have specialized in tutoring Mathematics and Physical Sciences to Grade 10 - 12 students. I have also tutored modules related to Engineering at the University of Pretoria.

Introduction to families
Dear Family. My name is Nonkululeko M. I am a third year Industrial Engineering student at the University of Pretoria. I dedicate myself fully to whatever work I do. I pride myself in being highly organised and consistent. I am an Au pair because I love to work with people, especially children. I love nurturing little ones and encouraging their development. I would love to work with a great family and do my best to serve the needs of family as a whole.
I would make the perfect Au pair for your family because I am a young and energetic woman with a lot to offer. I am goal-oriented and driven. I will aim to meet all goals given to me. I believe in discovering a child's personality, their learning style, communication style and their preferences. I do this in order to ensure I communicate effectively and develop a genuine bond with every child. I have extensive experience with caring for infants and toddlers, preparing meals, feeding, changing nappies, potty training, bathing, and adhering to a set schedule for meals and naps. Learning through play is my focus. I set a rough schedule and plan appropriate activities for each day. However, I allow the child to explore and choose what they would like to play with and give attention to. Activities can include music, dance, games, reading, water play, sensory play, arts, crafts and science experiments (like discovering how vinegar and baking soda react when added together), free play outdoors and encouraging reaching age-appropriate milestones. The gross motor skills and fine motor skills are integrated as part of our play, sensory activities and outdoor play.
I enjoy reading and learning new skills. I occasionally play tennis, basketball, soccer and netball non-competitively. I enjoy sewing and mending. I am learning to crochet and sew. I'm currently saving up for a sewing machine. I enjoy organising and cleaning spaces. I'm used to living in small spaces and enjoy finding the best way to have an organized and aesthetically pleasing living space. I try to make as many functional household and personal items as I can. I make crafts and other essentials instead of buying them. I spend a lot of my time at home with my family. We watch movies and series, play games, cook and eat together.

6 year old boy and 5 month old boy.
Taking care of all of both children's needs from birth including bathing, dressing, feeding, washing of clothes, sterilizing baby bottles and utensils and nurturing the children's development. I also was responsible for keeping track of baby's necessary items and purchasing them when they run out. I prepared nutritious meals and snacks. Using available resources and through play, I taught the older child a variety of skills needed before starting grade 1.
