"Dear Family" message

Dear potential aupair family, I am currently aupairing in Mauritius (timezone 2 hours ahead) while completing my final year of studying foundation phase education. I love working with children and would describe myself as a very caring and intuitive person. My first language is Afrikaans but most of my work requires me to speak English so that won't be a hurdle for me. I believe in giving children balanced meals (atleast one fruit a day), getting enough sun and having a hobby that allows for fine motor development and mental stimulation (Lego, puzzles, crosswords, paint by numbers erc)

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I have previous aupair, educare experience and have worked well with all my prior families. I understand that younger children learn easily through play and I support inquiry based learning. I also have experience tutoring and aupairing 2 children on the autism spectrum and have attended multiple speech therapy sessions for a prior aupair position.

Hobbies and other interests

I love artsy activities and playing social sports eg. Tennis, hockey and netball. I also love animals and know of a lot of places, for outings with kids for them to have fun. I adore greenery and the outdoors and have a super long bucket list for adventure activities to do around SA.
