My name is Jodi. To my children friends I'm known as Aunty Joe. I am honest, patient, compassionate, kind and like to encourage others. I love to laugh. I am blessed with a lovely family, I have two precious gems, a daughter aged 15 and a son aged 19, they are my pride and joy.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

Other then being a primary caregiver to a precious elderly lady last year, managing her affairs (doctors visits/outings/meals) as well as being her companion. I am a mother and qualified as an ECD teacher, did aftercare for 5 yrs and taught for 3, and have a certificate - short course in being a nanny/au pair. I have a heart for children/ young adults, and those that are vulnerable in life. I'm down to earth and a people's person. I care a whole lot about the value of a life and to me a person's life is worth my time! We learn from others no matter what the age, as they learn from us. I have assisted a child with Autism on the spectrum, as well as been a assistant with a primary school going boy in the classroom due to auditory processing, I am however not special needs trained.

Hobbies and other interests

As a family we care for the homeless Was a volunteer for CHOC (children fighting cancer) and an ambassador to help raise funding. I love all genres of music nature : most outdoor activities, family holidays/travel Arts and crafts
