"Dear Family" message

Dear Family My name is Karen, I am an English home-language (but mostly bilingual) speaker who is passionate about arts and creativity. I am currently working as an artist, doing mostly wildlife art and animal portraits.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I can connect with children easily and quickly and was brought up in a household that values mutual respect above all else. I believe that I can communicate with children well and will be able to be a friend when necessary without blurring the lines between friendship and authority. I have my Level 2 Remote Area First Aid, obtained on a game reserve. Thus I am able to deal with almost any situation when it comes to first aid. I did Mathematics, Physical Science, Art and History to Matric as my chosen subjects. I speak English and Afrikaans fluently. I also have experience in English copywriting and graphic design.

Hobbies and other interests

I am a keen writer/photographer and I would love to eventually go into teaching English Creative Writing. I did karate for many years and obtained my red belt before I stopped to focus on school. I love animals and the outdoors and all things to do with nature and conservation.
