Introduction to families
My name is Nicole L, I have 5+ years of childcare experience. I'm adventurous and I'm always looking for new places to explore. I started working with children when I was in High School and only later realized how important it will become to me to working with younger minds. I started volunteering and now working very closely with Solidariteit on the Youth committee where I have been working with Children in Hostels and Orphanage weekly for almost 2 years now. I'm excited to meet a family again & express my personality, goals & experience during an interview.
What I enjoy most about taking care of children is the personal and special bond I build with the younger generation. I am a friend to them but also someone that they respect and look up to. They should remember me as someone that had an impact on their life, that took care of them and made them feel safe. I teach them as much as I can and prepare them for the world out there. Working with children has changed a lot of my perspective on life and how fragile and innocent they still are. If I can be one of the people in their lives that they can trust and remember as a kind soul, then I have achieved success. To be honest children has taught me so many things as well. They are all different and unique and I love learning from them. To take care of them physically and mentally, to keep them safe, to support them and besides helping them with schoolwork you should teach them values and boundaries and most important to help them realize who they are and to embrace being unique.
My interests are Music and dancing (especially concerts), food (cooking), hiking and camping, and basically learning something new as much as I can. In my free time I try to do as much of the things that interests me, attending church or my Bible school studies & I occasionally enjoy a day of recharging and spending it at home.
