This position requires an exceptional person who is willing to work with a special needs young adult. The successful applicant would not only be an au pair but very much a companion to my daughter who is hard of hearing & visually impaired amongst other challenges. She is vivacious, loving, has a wonderful sense of humour & loves being with people. The position is an extremely rewarding one. As a companion to my daughter, I would need you to be very proactive and creative - taking her out, be it to a movie, a picnic and/or to plan activities that are appropriate. This position is not a ‘regular’ au pair position where one is required to lift to activities & oversee homework. If you have the qualities of patience, understanding, are able to communicate in English, clearly and well, are confident, intuitive and proactive, I'd love to hear from you. Please understand that by the very nature of this position your commitment and positive attitude is extremely important. We will pay for petrol & are reasonably flexible with salary.
