I have previously been part of CHOC's Young Adult Volunteer Program which involved organising activities and playing with children in the paediatric oncology ward at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital over weekends. Previously I volunteered for Children of Fire (Africa's First Burns Charity) and in 2014 I was part of an occupational therapy outreach team to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. I have certificates in First Aid & Fire fighting.
