Introduction to families
Dear family. My name is Tessa, I'm a young vibrant lady and I completed matric in 2013.. I’m currently studying with STADIO, doing BEd in Education. My latest job was working as a Teachers Assistant at a school around where I worked, I enjoyed that job so much. It was an entirely different experience in terms of working with a large group of learners, having to understand their different types of needs related to academics. I learned a lot about being a leader, compassion, kindness and patience. All those attributes needed to be delivered in order for me to carry out daily tasks given and challenges. I did a first aid course and completed it at Netcare Education in Midrand and also did a BAA course, went further to complete two courses one on National Schools Safety Framework Implementation and Protocol for the Management and Reporting of Sexual Abuse and Harassment in Schools, and Understanding Millennials.
Because of the love I have for children. One of my greatest experience during one of my au-pairing jobs was helping a 6 year old boy with delayed speech therapy learn how to read and write. I had no experience in teaching him how to do so, but my passion for helping these little ones made me able to help him. He had no knowledge whatsoever of writing alphabets or reading them out, and therefore with all the perseverance I’m glad to say he has improved a lot and his confidence grew as well as. I enjoy working and helping older kids as well, those in high school, guiding and helping them prepare for exams by means of teaching them certain methods I also did in school to tackle, ace and excel in their exams. I also enjoy helping with their assignments and projects, making their academic achievement a priority. I used to help out at a local crèche in my area when I was in high school, and the educator there taught me that a Love for a child is Eternal and they will love you back, you just have to love them correctly. With help and grooming they are bound to prosper. I was motivated.
I enjoy engaging in mind stimulating activities, such as playing games like scrabble, cycling on weekends, reading books online and watching movies, Harry Potter and The Maze Runner being my most favorite. I do enjoy and love driving so much, I learned how to drive in 2014 and being the first young girl child driving at that time especially among my peers, was the best time ever. So ever since that time till now, being behind the wheel is just one of my hobbies as well.
