Introduction to families
Dear Host Family, Hope you are keeping well I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing to read my note to get to know me a little before you decide that you would like to meet with me. To choose a family for myself as well as your family is one that should not be taken lightly, so I do understand that we may both have many questions on this new journey. I live and was born in Gauteng (South Africa), I have 1 sister who is younger than me (13 years old). My father is the Managing Director of a foundry supply company. My mom has recently joined my grandfather’s company in switchgear. A little about me: My name is Skyle-Lee E (Known as sky for short). My goal is to meet a wonderful family that I could join ASAP to not only help with the little bundles of joy but to be part of a well-rounded, strong family. My family is very close and we do everything together, if my parents could I am sure they would do this with me too (lol). I am very goal driven, confident with a bubbly personality. I believe in reaching my goals and setting reachable goals is very important to succeed in anything we do. I love sport, tennis is my main sport of choice, however I would try any sport just because I love a challenge. I have dedicated my school career to tennis and the love of the game. I love to be social with friends and family. Interaction is key for me and getting to know people. Since I was young, I loved looking after other children, even though I was young I had a sense to take care of others smaller than myself, you could say I have a protective quality for little ones that need that extra person to care for them when their parents are busy or need assistance. As I have grown with the current children I look after and finishing school I have the goal to travel and join a family that I can grow with and help guide little ones and make them family. I believe I can fit into a family with the same goals and values that I have been instilled with from my family. To not enforce discipline but to work together to see the little one’s abilities and guide them while they are venturing through their stages of life. I would like a family in which I could sit down and discuss any possible issue, to find a resolution should the child/children be acting out and to work as one to make sure they get the stability they require. The children I care for currently is The Jardine family's Alexia who is 6 and Zwaan who is 13, I am more hands on with Alexia as Zwaan being older can do his chores and hobbies without my assistance. I prepare meals and activities for us to enjoy the time before Zwaan gets ready for school and goes to bath while I bath Alexia and put her to bed. The Klopper family is Karli who is 3 months and Jannes 3 years old. I feed and care for little Karli and make sure her nappies changed interact with her with some activities that stimulates her mind and makes her laugh before I put her down for her nap. With Jannes, he enjoys his cars and Lego which I help set up for him to play while I care for his little sister, then once she has been put down, I sit and enjoy his car games and build some Lego for our adventures. Once he gets a little niggly, he enjoys it when I bath him and we have movie time before his bed time. The Cowley family is Welka, she is just over a year, I have been caring for her since she was a week old. I have been blessed to see her first moments in life. She has a very strong little personality and loves her trampoline and never goes anywhere without her bunny teddy. I change her nappies, bath her, dress her up. Prepare her meal and feed her. We have activities that she enjoys, when she gets niggly, I give her, her bottle and play her favorite song to calm her before she goes down for her nap. While she is napping, I am cleaning the house and put all the toys away and wash the dishes. I have added some photos of my family, friends, and sports
That s what I love doing
