"Dear Family" message

Dear Family My name is Thalia, I am 20 years old. I recently came back from the USA where I worked as an au pair for a few months where I cared for 3 lovely boys aged 5, 3 & 2. I have always had a passion for looking after kids, therefore I took the opportunity to go abroad and I had a great experience travelling while doing what I love. It taught me independence while learning about different cultures and food as well as meeting new people.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I’ve always had a passion for kids During the time I spent being an au pair in the USA, I taught the kids to swim, I taught them reading and writing as I do have a TEFL certification (teaching English as a foreign language), preparing them snacks and dinner, I would bake with them and many more fun activities like taking them on walks or to the park. I also have experience when it comes to more personal things like bathing them, taking them to and from school or extra mural activities. Looking after children taught me patience and how to deal with children with different personalities and how to adapt to their ways quickly. My family and friends would describe me as friendly, kind, adventurous and I like to think I’m still a kid a heart. I enjoy being outdoors, being creative but watching animated movies is definitely at the top of my list.
