Introduction to families
Dear Family, Thank you for your interest in me. I am Luzaye, a qualified au pair and childcare professional with over 8 years experience in the field. I have a passion for educating through play and I am an advocate for gentle parenting- a grace-based, hands-on, interactive and mutually beneficial style for guiding/discipling children.
I have always enjoyed working with children and find it rewarding to help them learn, grow and achieve all their milestones. I have over 8 years in childcare and I have lived and worked as an au-pair in the USA, for 2 years, through the Au Pair in America Cultural Exchange Program. I am well prepared and I know that being flexible and sometimes going above and beyond my duties as an au-pair is very important. I know that I am an an extension of the parents and therefore, when needed, I will be ready to stand in the gap. I strongly believe that the relationship between the parents and au-pairs should work like a well oiled machine and therefore I pride myself in being an excellent communicator. I know that performing my role to the best of my ability will serve for the greater good of the team. I am respectful, punctual, responsible and a critical thinker. My calm and patient personality will help me navigate every situation effectively. I take interest in each child and their personality, to ensure I provide a caring approach and build a unique connection with each individual child and meet them where they are at.
I am a creative and a qualified make-up artist so arts and crafts will not only be enjoyable for the children, but for me as well. I enjoy being and exploring the outdoors. Swimming and jumping on the trampoline with my niece is the main way I stay active. I am always eager to learn new things and see new places. I enjoy, travelling, visiting new restaurants and museums, reading and watching movies. I also consider myself a homebody and enjoy simple days at home with friends and family, cooking and enjoying some board games.

I was a full-time nanny for the Slava family. I started looking after Zoë when she was just 4 months old up until she was 14 months old. I started working from 7h30am in the morning until 4h30pm from Monday to Friday. My duties included making milk bottles and feeding, burping. Introducing healthy and age appropriate solid foods at 6 months. Changing of nappies, bathing, baby massage, Tummy time, and educational play. In addition to that, I focused on setting routines, encouraged independent napping as well as teaching her how to crawl, then walk and 2 new words weekly.
