Description of tutoring experience

One of my previous positions I was au pairing for two boys in the afternoons, homework supervision was the main focus during my time with them. the oldest was in Grade 4 and required extra support, particularly with English and Afrikaans. I was also required to assist and support both boys, particularly the oldest with his studying for preparation for assessments in all subjects. I have done a basic Tutoring course through The Little Sunshines Training Academy, as well as a Homework Tips & Guidance course. I am only comfortable offering tutoring for children in younger grades- up to grade 7. Homework supervision, assistance with study schedules, projects, extra-curricular homework/practice for things such as sport/fitness training and dance/drama/concerts by helping to learn lines and rehears (all ages). I have experience doing these with my own children.

Dear Family, I am a divorced mother, my daughter is 18 and in Matric this year and my son 14 in grade 8 both at Herzlia. Although my kids are currently residing primarily with their father I have been a stay-at-home mom for the better part of my adult life and have years of experience looking after kids and running a home. I am adaptable and open minded and therefore able to adjust to different environments and requirements. I am organized, neat and tidy. happy to be around and assist with pet care (all animals) and light housework. meal prep and cooking, I have sufficient knowledge when it comes to nutrition and healthy eating, potty training sleep training and all things baby related. Pick up the boys from school at Rondebosch Boys Primary or Mini Meadows sports ground depending on daily extra murals. Take them to their home in Newlands. Prepare them a snack and allow them a short rest while eating. Unpack lunchboxes and bags. Start homework with both boys, basic tutoring and test preparation, E classroom worksheets. If there is time and the boys feel like it we go outside to play (swim in summer) or we play games or build puzzles or watch tv. If there is time I get them to shower before mom gets home. I am not required to clean but I do light tidy up and clean up and try to get the boys to organize their things as well.
