Introduction to families
Dear family, I'm so glad my profile managed to spike your interest. My name is Amelia D. I am a 21 year old individual with a major passion for taking care of others. Since I were a young child I have always placed others before me, I concern myself with the well-being of others before my own. I was born in Underberg in 2001 where I was raised on a farm. My mother, sister and I moved to Ballito in early 2012 and we have remained here ever since. My mom is a qualified senior bookkeeper with her own bookkeeping business, my sister is pursuing the same career and is employed as a junior bookkeeper for a retail agency in Umhlanga, I studied HSE management through NOSA although I also did begin studying through ICB to become a qualified bookkeeper as well, though my office is outdoors, not indoors. Spending time with and looking after young humans I find extremely therapeutic and fun, having the opportunity to have fun all day with young individuals I'm sure sparks joy in many people including myself. As a qualified health, environmental and safety officer, I strive to ensure that all persons around me are constantly safe and their exposure to all hazards is limited as much as possible. My HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) qualification teaches me that everything around us has the potential to harm us in some way, therefore I always strive to enable as many control measures as possible and where applicable so that I can move forward knowing I may have prevented someone from harm. I also have my L1 First Aid qualification. My reason for not pursuing an HSE management career is mainly due to me wanting to provide assistance and growth to other persons, especially our youth, being able to take care of them where needed and also aid in educating them of things schools don't, for example, the actual dangers of water waste, exposure to sunlight risks, environmental care and so on and so forth. I find it exciting to express my HSE knowledge to other members of Earth, and the affects we have on our beloved planet and how we can go about taking care of it. I strive with nature, I was raised on a farm in Underberg KZN before moving to Ballito in 2012, the outdoors is truly the office I want to work in.
I am an incredibly open minded individual with many passions. I find being outdoors and active with others a great way to live life. Taking care of our beloved youth I find an incredibly important role as an adult. Having the ability to be involved in the growth and development of our youth is an honor all adults should aspire to take part in at least once in their lives. I love teaching young humans everything I know about environmental protection, as well as sharing my educational knowledge with them to aid in guidance for the future.
One thing you should know about me, I am a transgender woman undergoing hormonal replacement therapy. I find myself passionate in many things, some of my favorites include; cooking, baking, painting, hitting the gym, swimming, strolls through Townsend Park and Ballito's boardwalk, watching movies (preferably comedy and Disney animation) and also slow drives along the coastline.
