Hi! I’m Carissa ✨ I’m a kind, compassionate and creative person. I love spending time with babies and kids and grew up with two younger siblings. I helped out with them growing up. I’m looking for a kind and welcoming family to work for while I take a break from studying. I’ve just come back from three months in Italy where I au paired for two wonderful families.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I have experience taking care of my younger siblings as babies and growing up (there is about a 9-11 year age gap between us). I’ve volunteer at the Upper Highway Baby Home - playing and feeding babies (between the ages of 6 months - 24 months). I’ve just returned from au pairing in Italy. In my first host family (1.5 months) I looked after a 10y/o girl. Together we did art, baked and swam at the beach. I did pick up and drop offs at school for her summer classes. I also assisted with her English homework. With my second host family looking after two wonderful boys aged 9 and 12. Together we played card and board games, watched movies, baked, made fresh pasta, went to the market and I’ve assisted with homework with the 9y/o. With both families I prepared lunch for the kids and occasionally cooked some dinners for the family (about once a week). I am a responsible, caring and easy-going individual. I am an experienced driver and will always have your kids wellness and safety as my top priority!

I love art - drawing, painting - anything creative. I also enjoy jewellery making and vintage fashion. I love good food! I enjoy cooking and baking. I also like reading, going for walks in nature, swimming at the beach and watching film and tv.
