Description of tutoring experience

I tutored first year varsity students Botany. It helped me understand students from diffrent backgrounds better. Also it improved my communication skills. I learned to master the skill of patience; and understanding that diffrent learners use diffrent methods to learn.

"Dear Family" message

Dear Family. I am a 27 year old who is very passionate about working with kids and dealing with the community in general. I stay in Durban Central. I have worked with kids in a number of organisations as a volunteer including looking after my sisters kid for some time now. So I could say that I am fond with kids and I believe kids love me and they are comfortable around me. I am a very postive person, I am able to maintain confidentiality. I believe that to be able to look after kids I ought to be calm, even under emergency and be able to provide solutions at all times, so I plan on not doing anything short of that. I aspire to hold a position where I will be interacting with people on a daily basis.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I love children; children love me. I have a passion for working with them. I am great communicator, working as a tutor and in community interaction programs has helped me build confidence in serving people. Having worked as Care and Support Assistant at a special school I have learnt to master my skill of Patience, and the ability to remain calm and respectful while working and dealing with students with different physical needs. I am punctual, reliable, cooperative and helpful so I can be counted upon to finish whatever I have started, also to take on any task that needs my attention. I am person who is very passionate about sport and physical activity. So during my spare time I go for a jog, it relaxes my mind. When I'm out of town I do a lot of hiking as well. Job description

I worked as Care and support assistant, which basically mean my duties were: The morning duty where I look after the children (from grade1 to 3) from their arrival at 7:00 to 7:30. Before 10 O'clock I had to take physically diabled children to the medical centre around school for their toilet times. The students that needed assitance with going to the Physiotherapy, Speech Department and OT were also on under my duty. Overlooking students during break time and supervising group activities. I also facilitated for some blind students. I'm proficient in Braille alphabets. At 13: 00 I had to do the bus duty, where I supervised the picking up of the learners by their parents or drivers to make sure every student left the school safely.
