"Dear Family" message

I am a warm, friendly individual that believes kindness goes a long way. Having a positive, constructive influence on the people around me is paramount to my focus in life. My character is built on strong moral values and faith. Cultivating an environment in which children have the potential to grow is what I aspire to. It is important to me to compliment the uniqueness of each child.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

Through many community service projects and church camps I have worked with a variety of children from different backgrounds and age groups. Additionally, I am currently employed as a School Counsellor working with teenagers between the ages of 13-19. When looking after children my focus is to create a space in which they feel safe. This forms the basis of their development and learning. Furthermore, I aim to meet physical, emotional and social needs as each of these are important in shaping a well-rounded child. Each child is different. Through being observant, showing empathy and actively listening I am able to identify needs that might need to be attended to. I believe that setting routines in place help children to feel safe and creating safe boundaries influences positive development.
