Introduction to families
Dear Family. I have recently completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Witwatersrand, which is a Bachelor of Health Sciences, specialised in Biomedical Science. I also completed first year psychology as an extra course. I am from Cape Town, however I moved to Johannesburg in 2018 to pursue my studies and I lived there until the end of last year. I am independent, reliable, organised and I love children. Please contact me for my full CV.
My ambition of becoming involved in paediatric health care in South Africa is a driving force behind my interest in childcare. Apart from being passionate about paediatrics from a clinical perspective, I enjoy engaging with and spending time with children. My experience in volunteering throughout my adolescence has given me confidence in caring for, and interacting with a diverse range of people. I have volunteered at Sarah Fox children's hospital, Red Cross Children's hospital, Vera School for Autistic Children, and a rural school in Battambung, Cambodia. I previously au paired for a family with three children for a year and a half (2022-2023) and a family with two girls for a short period of time (2020), which I enjoyed thoroughly. The past 5 years of living alone in a big city has taught me self-sufficiency, endurance and versatility. I believe these qualities make me uniquely qualified to au pair.
I did Ballet for many years, and I enjoy being creative. I enjoy fitness, Yoga, cooking and reading.
