Introduction to families
Dear prospective family, my name is Talisha Y, and I am 19 years old. I graduated from Kharwastan Secondary School in 2020 where I received a Bacherlors Pass. I plan to pursue a degree in law. In the meantime, however, I am putting through this application to assist families with childcare services, as I have experience in this field. I am a responsible person. I always have children's best interests at heart. They will always be very safe with me as I am cautious, and they will be my number 1 priority
I am caring, patient and willing to go above and beyond for my host family. Though I am quite young, I believe this works in my favour because not only can I be a responsible authority figure, I can also be someone your children can trust and confide in. I am honest and trustworthy.
My interests include reading. I also enjoy writing and completing puzzles in my spare time. I enjoy baking and doing arts and crafts.

boy - 8 years old; boy - 4 years old
During 2019 and 2020 I used to occasionally babysit the boys when their parents would go out on date nights and weekends. Fortunately for me, just before I matriculated, their mum started a full time job, and I got to nanny the boys full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a. m. - 5:00 p. m. Between 2019 and 2020, while I babysat, I used to help prepare meals, oversee playdates, and assist with bath and bed time. Since I've started full-time and the oldest was then in school, I also assisted with making his lunch, helping him with his homework and I also spent time working on vocabulary, numbers, letters and colours with the 5 year old. During this time I also assisted with light housekeeping involving the kids e.g. making their beds, picking up toys etc.

Talisha is a very sweet girl. She is good with kids of all ages and my kids love spending time with her. I was very fortunate that Talisha was able to help me when I needed her the most. Since we were experiencing a pandemic my kids had to stay at home for a while and Talisha was there to assist and monitor with online learning. She also helped tidy up the house and prepare meals for the boys while we were at work. Talisha is very patient and caring and is always willing to go the extra mile.

boy - 3 years old
Starting the first week of June I was a full-time nanny to Isaiah, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a. m. - 16:00 p. m. Unfortunately, due to personal reasons (can be discussed during an in-person interview), this Friday, 18/11/2021, will be my last day nannying for the Jampie family. During my time with Isaiah, I used tp prep his meals (breakfast, lunch) and feed him. I helped with potty-training, play-time. I read to him daily and put him down for naps. Recently, when I got my license and car, I would drive him to parks and I did grocery runs for the family when needed.

Girl - 9 years old
Due to covid, many schools were forced to close, unfortunately, her school was one of them and she had to be homeschooled for that period. Her mum contacted me earlier this year to assist with the homeschooling. Since January 16th I have been traveling to their home every Saturday to help her with her school work.
