Introduction to families
"Dear Family" message
Dear potential host family, my name is Michelle and I reside in Blouberg. I have completed a Higher Certificate in Law through UNISA, and I am currently busy with a degree in Foundation Phase education (Grades R - 3). I just adore children and would love to work with your child/ren whether it’s helping with pick up/drop off from school, preparing meals, online schooling, infant care or perhaps you might just need a babysitter. The hours on my profile are a rough idea and naturally I would change them for- and adapt to the right family. I love animals (dogs!!!), finding unknown restaurants with good food, old films, amateur painting and cooking. Please feel free to ask for references. I am currently taking care of an elderly family member, hence my strange hours of availability, they are flexible.
Why I would make the perfect au pair
I trust that I would make a compassionate and thoughtful Au Pair, because I have a passion and an understanding for all types of children. I am patient, have endurance and remain calm in tough situations. I have tons of experience with children from helping my sister with her children. I have babysat numerous times, stayed with them whilst they had school and their parents went on holiday (includes: morning & night routine, taking them to and from school, homework, breakfast and dinner etc), helped with online schooling etc. I have also worked at a family friend’s pre-school. My duties included but were not limited to: fetching primary school kids for aftercare, doing homework with them as well as caring for babies starting at 2 months old. I am able to implement and follow routine. I would be most happy to run errands and do grocery shopping if need be. To conclude, I really just adore working with children and want to help them grow into great adult human beings! I most recently was a teacher at a homeschool, leading my own beautiful class of Grade R’s. Definitely the highlight of my life thus far. :)

My hobbies and interests include, but are not limited to: Cooking, Baking, Painting, Spending time with my family and friends. Knitting, Scuba Diving, Hiking and Camping. Building puzzles, BEING IN NATURE, Walking with my animals, watching documentaries and old films, travelling. Visiting art galleries and museums. Going to dance and theatre productions and reading.
