I was Miss Mahlangu's Au pair for 10 wonderful months. I was a live out au pair who came early in the morning when Miss Mahlangu went to work, and left in the evening when Miss Mahlangu knocked off. I would normally find the twins still asleep in the morning and I would help Miss Mahlangu tidy the house up, prepare food for the twins when they woke up I bathed them, prepared them for the day, fed them, played with them, read for them and changed their nappies, watched favorite cartoons with them then they would fall asleep and I would put them down for an afternoon nap, prepared food for myself and twins again. I repeated the routine again while they were sleeping so that the house is tidy when Miss Mahlangu came back home. I would sometimes prepare slight meals for Miss Mahlangu when she asked me too, or run errands for Miss Mahlangu when needed. Thandaza is great with kids and very gentle with them. She was a pleasant employee as she did everything as expected of her. She would arrive early before I could leave for work and I would find my kids bathed, fed and the house squeaky cleanwhen I knocked off from work. She did everything that I asked of her like going to the shops to buy what we needed at the house. The kids loved having her because she played with them and sometimes took them for walks in the nearby park.

My responsibilities included picking up the oldest child from school at 16:00 and preparing a snack for him upon our arrival home.
