Introduction to families
"Dear Family" message
I know we both hope to find the perfect match and a good understanding. I am very fond of children (you may scrutinize my FB pages). I'm looking for a family who enjoys the little things in life and still allows children to play and dress like children. I'm excited to bring you some relief and Peace of mind whilst you focus on your grind! I find fun and creative ways of learning and am very proud to say this is what sets me apart from other aupairs. Every child has their own learning style and I am able to skillfully identify theirs and restore the fun in learning and build their confidence. Know that your child (ren) are safe and loved like family! I was born and raised in SA, on the East Rand. I now reside in Centurion. I am the Founder of TCTF (The Children Their Faces) where I have the opportunity to contribute to a positive society. My primary focus as Founder is Education and Empowerment. I have a special skill with people and I can say it in humility and pride. I have over 15 years of childcare experience and still have good relationships with my previous families. I enjoy human resources, kids are my favourite age group. I hope to find a blissful family with amazing kids. 😇
Why I would make the perfect au pair
I am available to provide Academic support via Zoom, etc to ensure your child stays on track! I was an aupair for 2 years in the States. Upon my return I started my own NPO, The children Their faces. I've contributed greatly in raising family siblings as well as my very own baby brother who to date calls me mamma:-) He calls our mom mammie, in case you're wondering. Lol, it works for him:-) I am very passionate about the health and well being of children and their safety. I am also certified in Early Childhood Development. I believe its important to treat each child as an individual and to help them become independent. I have boring 'habits' No smoking, no drinking, no foul language, typical church girl. Baby sitting comes natural to a few individuals and I happen to be fortunate enough to be included in that few. I've had to drive when I was overseas as well and have had a driver's since 2007. I am a safe, excellent driver. I've also traveled SA and the US on a different occasion which enriches my cross cultural experience and appreciation. I enjoy hearing kids laugh, watching them fall asleep and seeing them develop gradually with skills and guidance I provide. I also enjoy teaching them little things and getting into their world. What you need is someone who understands the responsibility and enjoys the pleasure thereof. With more then a decade of child care experience, certification in ECD and first hand experience in mastering children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder, I find it both challenging and thrilling to grow and achieve milestones together! I appreciate good grades and will therefore always repeat, rehearse and re-emphasize until we win.
Hobbies and other interests
I enjoy hiking, playing golf, swimming, coloring and building puzzles. I Read A LOT, more than one book at a time:-) I also relax by going to Theatre shows or doing the garden. Going to the gym is a daily ritual and journaling my thoughts. I enjoy baking with the kids and doing things they love. I’m excited to embark on a new journey with your beautiful family! I love outdoor activities with the kids.

Job description
Pick up from school. Ensure medication is taken as soon as we get home on a daily basis. Prepare a snack/small lunch for him. Do homework together. Improve reading, spelling, comprehension and handwriting. Improve grades. I was responsible ensure he qualifies for an International Assessment which was a make or break for him as they are immigrating. He was successfully accepted, in fact, he did better than what was expected as our school system is different to theirs. I feel proud and humbled at the same time. We also took Bella (his dog) for daily walks. Fun activities over weekends. Grocery shopping, paying bills, taking dog to vet, Doctor's visits, etc. I made myself resourceful and reliable because we had open communication had set clear boundaries.

Employer comments
It was such a pleasure to find such a matured and reliable Au pair. She is very creative and always enthusiastic in finding ways to improve my son’s learning and development experience. She has a vast amount of patience and always remained optimistic in challenging situations. Her and my son developed a strong bond and I felt completely safe with him spending weekends together outside of his normal academic tasks or extra mural activities. Had my son not immigrated, I would have loved to keep her on as his Au pair. She has also added substantial value in ensuring that my son passes his Assessment to be accepted overseas. It was a nerve-racking season, but she remained calmed and reassuring and her methods proved to be successful. I commend her for how seriously she regarded her responsibility and how easily she adjusted to become part of our family. She is energetic, spontaneous, responsible on the road and tactfully understands when to get more involved and when to take a step back. I wish she could go overseas with my son because that would give me peace of mind and confidence in the new culture he has to adjust to, however, I hope she finds the family that would appreciate and value her the way we as a family did.
