"Dear Family" message

Hi potential family! I am 24 years old and a mother to the sweetest 1 year old little boy. I've been working remotely since my son was born, but now goes to play school 5 days a week, and I work as a rucruitment consultant which is commission-only based, so I can work in my free time. A part-time aupair role would suit me best, as my current role is very flexible. I hope you'll enjoy reading through my profile and that we could arrange an interview, there is so much more to me than I can fit into this box!

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I've worked with children most of my life and I have loved every minute of it. Having two disabled people in my family- both suffering from Cerebral Palsy, I am fully aware of the care that needs to be taken and I am capable of such. I do not wish to see this as a job opportunity but rather as an opportunity to play a role as a big sister in a family. I consider myself to be fun and I always find something to do - I am never bored! I love going to new places and exploring and your child (ren) will never be bored around me, I also love crafts and school projects (BONUS!) I am very family orientated and I like to get tasks done. I think the fact that I have a child of my own helps a lot too.

Hobbies and other interests

Weirdly obsessed with chickens - as odd as it sounds, I am absolutely in love with them and have had many of my own on the farm. I really love plants and enjoy spending time walking through plant nurseries, looking for more additions to my collection! I have always wanted to go to chef school but unfortunately it was a career I have thus far not been able to pursue as of yet, however I have taken part in cooking competitions and done well for myself (so your meals would never be boring!) I'm a farm girl at heart, so a bonfire and some country music is all I need to keep me happy.

Job description

Full day position looking after a now 11 month old girl. Day starts with cereal, outfit change and then some play time before a nap. After her nap we do snack time and then play time- generally different types of sensory play activities and we go for walks outside for fresh air and some Vitamin D. After Lunch she has another nap, play time once she wakes up followed by a bottle later on and putting her down for her final nap (if she didn't sleep well during the day) just before I leave for the day. I take Baby to her baby classes once per week.

We knew Shae was perfect for our family from the day we met her. At first we had some doubts of her being young and incapable but our expectations were exceeded by her hard work, maturity and genuine love for our son. She committed herself 110% and we were so sad to see her leave. Due to her always being helpful, it seems we may have asked too much of her and she never complained but the strain was too much for her and we understand that.
