Introduction to families
Dear future host family, my name is Rebekah I am 23 and working with children has and always will be my passion and what I'm best at doing! I have a lot of childcare experience with a range of 0-16 years of age both boys and girls. I spent a year in America where I spent time au pairing for a beautiful family of three kids ages 6 months, 7 years and 10 years. I have learnt so much whilst being there about myself, about how to handle different situations and just how this experience has increased my love for what I do! I have just completed my BA degree in psychology and communications where I hope to further into child psychology which I believe is my passion. I can't wait to get to know your family and be there to help out as much as possible. Thank you.
I would make a great au pair as I have a lot of experience due to the fact that I have been doing this for the last 4 years with three great families with kids aged 6 months, 3,5, 8, 9, 10 and 16 years old. I have learnt so much and become very confident in working and handling situations with my kids that I look after. I also have two younger siblings, one who is ADHD and spent two years at Livingston and a younger brother. I also had to take a two week infant training course in America to au pair the kids I took care of. So I feel more than qualified and confident in my ability to take care of your kids. I also spent 2 months prior gaining childcare experience at a daycare ranging from newborns to 2 years old. After my year in the States, I jumped right back into it and au paired for a family of three beautiful kids aged 7,9 and 11 where I fetched from school and extra murals, packed lunches, did homework and everything else in between, one child had ADHD and needed speech therapy so I know how to handle kids who need a little extra help. In the last year I looked after a 16 year old girl. I'm now looking for a new family that I can join and use my knowledge and experience.
My hobbies include a love for the ocean and the outdoors, sports particularly hockey, but I've spent many afternoons playing many sports from soccer to cricket to touch rugby. I also have a love for art and am very creative and love expressing this through arts and crafts or baking! I'm a health conscious individual and I have just completed my BA degree in psychology and due to this have no time constraints.

Fetching children from 3 different schools. Assisting with homework, extra-curricular activities and making munch boxes. Each day she would check everything was ready for the next school day and sign the homework books. Two of the children are dyslexic so extra supervision was critical. She would take them to OT, Speech and anything else necessary. During the holidays Rebekah would stay for extended hours and also entertain the children at numerous locations.

I have a recruitment company and I had 130 applications for this role. I shortlisted to 7 and only 3 showed up for the interview. Out of the 3 non of the applicants were suitable. Rebekah was recommended to me through an external source and her energy was contagious from the beginning. Our kids love/loved her and i would still call on her in times of need. I have decided to stop working so therefore we didn't need extra help anymore. Rebekah would be an asset to any family.
