Introduction to families
Dear Potential Families. My name is Stacey and I am 26 years old. I have a BSocSci in Politics and Sociology from the University of Cape Town, and a B.A.(Hons) Sociology from Stellenbosch University. I have also completed various childcare courses with Cultural Care Au Pair online, and at the Au Pair Training School in Long Island, NY in the USA. I've also attended the College of Saint Rose, Silver Bay courses for Au Pairs and American students.
I have recently returned from USA where I spent 15 months working as an au pair for the Young family. I have over 12 years of childcare experience and I am infant qualified. I am certified in first aid (in SA and USA) and I am an excellent and safe driver with over 5 years experience on both manual and automatic transmission (valid drivers licenses in SA and USA). I have a safe and reliable vehicle. I also have experience with driving in snow. I am caring, compassionate and patient. Children generally respond well to me, as I observe the way they learn and tailor my teaching methods/ educational stimulation to suit their individual learning styles. I have a passion for caring for children and animals. I believe it is best to create strong; independent, compassionate individuals, who are happy and healthy and feel safe an loved.
My hobbies include reading, swimming, hiking, watching movies, and arts and crafts. I am a Sunday School teacher at my church. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and I love helping others.

2 girls, aged 3 and 1 years old.
I was the ad hoc nanny hired to watch the Baucom girls' for 5 weeks, while their regular nanny underwent treatment for cancer. Thereafter, the Baucoms' hired me whenever they needed a caregiver.

Stacey was an amazing fill-in for us when we needed her. Our girls enjoyed their time with her and my wife and I appreciated her professionalism, her degree of care, and her thoughtfulness and creativity. I highly recommend Stacey.

3 boys, aged 3, 2 and 4 months.
I cared for the Brummel boys' every Wednesday for approximately 12 hours. This included meal times, bath times, nap times and so forth.

Stacey was nanny to our 3 boys age 4, 3 and 1 years old) for 12 hours per week for almost a year. In that role, Stacey would arrive at our home before 7 in the morning and care for them until after 6 in evening. Her duties included pre paring 3 meals for the boys, getting them dressed for the day, laying them down for naps, and bathing them after dinner. Stacey excelled in each of these tasks owing to her tremendous organizational skills. Her compassion toward each of our children was incredible. Stacey would go above and beyond, always thinking up new and fun activities for our boys that they were always so proud to show us when we got home from work. For example, she helped them in their functional development by having them do arts and crafts to build their hand-eye coordination. She also encouraged imaginative play, music, and singing. She always made sure the house was picked up and clean upon our arrival home. She exceeded our expectations every time, in every capacity.

2 children: 1 boy 5 years old, and 1 girl 4 years old.
I collected/ chauffeured both children from separate schools and watched them at their home for a few hours until one of their parents' returned home from work.
Yes
We loved having Stacey take care of our children. She taught them games and made them feel safe and loved while we were at work. We truly hated to see her go to Boston and so wish that she could still be here with us in Nashville. Any family would be lucky to have her. Thanks!

1 girl, 3months - 18 months
I was a full time, live-in au pair to the baby girl, and often cared for the dogs and house while the parents were away. I performed all childcare-related duties including bath time, cleaning, laundry, meal times, nap times, play dates, entertainment and educational stimulation, chauffeuring, trips to the doctor, zoo, library, museums, etc.
Yes
Stacey was an excellent caregiver for our daughter and a great companion for our dogs as well. She obviously cared for her and my daughter loved her as well. She performed all scheduled duties punctually and well and also helped out with things around the house outside of her scope of work. I never had any worries about my daughter's safety in her care. She also provided a fun and stimulating environment, regularly searching out new age-appropriate activities in the area.
