Introduction to families
Dear Family. I was an Au Pair in 2011 to a girl age 12 in Durbanville. I played with her, helped her with homework and studying for tests, took her to her extra murals and outings and cooked for the family every afternoon. During the mornings I did some light housework e.g. washing and helped the father with design work, PA duties and ran errands for him e.g shopping and paying bills. My next Au Pair job was to look after 3 children (1, 6 & 8) in Welgemoed - the Housekeeper mostly cared for the baby. I picked them up from school in the afternoon, took them home, made lunch and then we did homework and activities until I was finished for the day. Occasionally did some evening babysitting for them. After a year with them I had to leave as the pay was minimal. 2013 - end 2018 I was a teacher at Dunatos Remedial School (Bellville) in the special needs phase (Lsen) to teach the learners Computer Skills and later on I also became the primary school phase's computer teacher (Gr.1 to 6, English and Afrikaans) - I taught them remedial Computer Lessons. I no longer work there as I was 'retrenched'. I have a lot of experience working with children and I enjoy spending time with children. I find them very interesting and to hear their opinions about all kinds of subjects. They are quite clever! I feel I can make a big difference in a child's life.
I am fun, caring, friendly (but strict if need be), like discipline and routine, loving, I can cook, a good driver, arty, focused and helpful.
