Description of tutoring experience
I began studying Early Childhood Development at Northlink College in 2009, but had to pause my studies due to personal reasons. My passion for working with children never faded—in fact, I’ve continued to nurture it through hands-on experience. I’ve tutored my godson and a close friend’s child in recent years, and I’m currently supporting them again this year.

Introduction to families
"Dear Family" message
Hello, I'm Luzanne, and it's lovely to meet you. I’m based in Cape Town, South Africa, and currently studying my Bachelor of Social Work online through SACAP. My journey with children began in 2009 when I started Early Childhood Development studies at Northlink College. Although I had to pause those studies for personal reasons, my passion for nurturing and supporting young minds never left me. Over the years, I’ve tutored my godson and a close friend’s child, and I’m continuing to support them again this year. I bring a calm, emotionally grounded presence to caregiving balancing warmth, structure, and empathy. I believe in creating safe, joyful spaces where children feel seen, heard, and supported. I’m excited to connect with families who value kindness, clear communication, and mutual respect. I’d love to learn more about your family’s rhythm and how I can support your children’s growth and happiness.
Why I would make the perfect au pair
Becoming an au pair is more than just a job for me it's a meaningful way to combine my love for children, my passion for learning, and my desire to experience new cultures. I’m drawn to the idea of being part of a family’s everyday life, offering care, support, and positive energy while learning from each other. As someone studying social work, I value connection, empathy, and the small moments that help children feel safe, confident, and curious. Being an au pair allows me to contribute to a child’s growth while continuing my own journey of learning and cultural exchange.
Hobbies and other interests
Outside of academics and caregiving, I love spending time outdoors and staying active through sports like soccer, hockey, swimming, and tennis. I’m always up for a game or a nature walk, especially when I can share that joy with children.
