Introduction to families
"Dear Family" message
My name is Alison, and I’m so happy to introduce myself to you and share a little bit about who I am. I’ve always enjoyed working with children, and caring for them has been a meaningful part of my life from a young age. I grew up helping take care of my younger siblings which taught me early on how to be responsible, patient, and nurturing. Over the years, I’ve also had the opportunity to babysit for family friends, caring for children aged 4 and 6. I spent time as a Sunday school teacher’s assistant, where I helped with reading stories and Bible study activities. In addition, I was an Au Pair in the United States for two years, where I cared for a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy. These experiences have helped shape me into someone who is dependable, kind, and attentive to the unique needs of children.
Why I would make the perfect au pair
I believe I would be a perfect Au Pair for your family because I truly enjoy spending time with children and being part of their daily lives and development. I bring a calm, friendly, and supportive energy, and I’m confident in my ability to create a safe and positive environment for your children. Having worked with a wide age range—from toddlers to teenagers—I understand how to adapt to different personalities and needs. Whether it's helping with preparing meals, playing games, or just being someone your children can rely on, I’m committed to being a helpful and trusted presence in your home. I also understand that being an Au Pair is about cultural exchange and building a meaningful connection with your family, not just childcare. I’m excited about the opportunity to share my experiences and learn from yours, while contributing positively to your home life.
Hobbies and other interests
In my free time, I enjoy staying active and being outdoors—whether that’s going for a run, hiking, or just spending time in nature. I also love reading, as it gives me a chance to relax. After my time in the U. S. and exploring different states, I’ve discovered a real love for travel. Traveling, especially on my own, has helped me grow as a person, become more independent, and gain a greater appreciation for different cultures and perspectives. I also enjoy trying new things and meeting new people—it keeps life exciting and helps me stay open-minded and adaptable.
