Introduction to families
I’m someone who values both structure and joy — and that’s exactly the approach I bring as an au pair. With a strong academic background and years of tutoring experience, I’ve had the privilege of supporting learners from Grade 4 to Grade 12 across various subjects. I bring a gentle, calm presence into the home, aiming to guide and uplift children without ever overwhelming them. I believe children thrive when they feel understood, supported, and respected. My style is steady and consistent, but also flexible — I encourage children to understand why routines exist, while giving them space to express themselves and grow with confidence. Whether it’s helping with schoolwork, guiding bedtime routines, or answering curious questions about the world, I aim to be a trusted support — someone children feel safe with, and parents can rely on.
I believe I’d make an excellent au pair because I offer the perfect balance between academic support, emotional intelligence, and structure. Over the years, I’ve worked with learners from different age groups and learning styles — many of whom have shown more than a 10% improvement in their school performance under my tutoring. I bring this same mindset into au pair work, where every day becomes an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow. My approach is rooted in gentle academic mentoring — encouraging curiosity, asking questions, and helping children build a strong sense of independence and problem-solving. I also understand the value of fun, connection, and emotional safety. I create structure children understand and buy into, rather than just follow — and that builds mutual respect, trust, and real growth.
Outside of work, I absolutely love animals, which is why the zoo is one of my favourite places to visit — there’s always something to learn and admire. And when it’s time to unwind, I’m a huge movie fan — especially when it comes to Marvel films, which I’ve watched (and rewatched) with genuine excitement. I love reading novels, getting lost in great storytelling, and exploring new ideas through books. I’m also a fan of Tennis, and I find time on the court both energising and grounding
