Introduction to families
"Dear Family" message
Dear Family, My name is Bridgette S, and I’m a calm, loving, and experienced mother based in Centurion. I’m applying for an au pair position because I truly enjoy working with children and understand, from both personal and professional experience, how important it is to give kids love, structure, and positive attention. I have a reliable car and over 10 years of driving experience, making me confident with school runs, extra mural activities, and errands. I’m also able to help with homework, light meal prep, bath/bed routines, and gentle discipline. As a mom, I bring patience, intuition, and deep care into every interaction with a child. I believe in giving children a safe, joyful, and respectful space to grow in. I’m also planning to further my studies through UNISA next year, which makes au pairing a meaningful and flexible career for me right now. I would love the opportunity to become a trusted part of your family’s daily life and care for your little ones with the same love and attention I give my own. Please feel free to contact me for a meet-and-greet or trial day. Warm regards,
Why I would make the perfect au pair
I believe I would make the perfect au pair because I am a natural caregiver who understands children deeply, not only from work experience, but also from being a loving and present mother myself. I know how important it is to provide children with stability, patience, and kindness, especially during their most important years of growth. I am calm, responsible, and nurturing, and I take pride in creating a safe, joyful, and structured environment for children. I’m also extremely reliable — I have over 10 years of driving experience and a reliable car, so school runs, appointments, and extracurricular activities will always be handled safely and on time. What sets me apart is my maturity, emotional intelligence, and genuine love for working with families. I respect boundaries, follow routines well, and can step in to support parents without overstepping. I don’t see au pairing as just a job, I see it as a way to make a meaningful impact in a child’s life while supporting the entire household in a gentle, respectful way
Hobbies and other interests
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, spending time outdoors, and reading storybooks with children. I also enjoy helping with homework and supporting study routines, especially for school-going children. I take pride in creating calm, structured environments where kids feel safe and encouraged to learn. I also enjoy keeping things organized and finding ways to make family life run more smoothly.

Job description
Although I do not have formal au pair or childcare employment, I have hands-on experience assisting my sister-in-law with her two children before she relocated to Cape Town. I would occasionally help with fetching them from crèche and aftercare, especially on days she had personal commitments or could not manage. This helped me gain real-world experience in time management, school routines, and caring for children outside of my own. I am confident in my ability to care for children responsibly and lovingly, and I am more than willing to do a trial day to demonstrate my capabilities.
