Dear Family, My name is Desiree. I am an aspiring Au Pair from Johannesburg, South Africa. As the eldest sibling in my family, I have spent most of my life caring for children. From my success to their well-being. I have a younger sister and brother who’s autistic. I stayed with my mom to help look after my little brother as she was job-seeking at the time and I was only starting high school. I studied Law at university, the degree is incomplete as I had to put a pause to my studies. And while I do not have a driver’s license, I am highly independent, organized, and always willing to learn. Becoming an Au pair is an exciting opportunity for me to support your family while also immersing myself in a new culture. I genuinely enjoy engaging with children, creating a safe and fun environment for them, and helping out in any way I can. I look forward to the possibility of joining your family and making meaningful connections.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

Kids are different. They need someone who’s patient, and really does have a love for caring for them. As I have mentioned taking care of my younger siblings, this experience has taught me patience, adaptability, and a deep understanding of children's unique needs. Also my academic background has given me strong problem-solving skills, responsibility, and the ability to communicate effectively. So if you’re also looking someone to ensure good progress on your kids’ schoolwork, I’m more than delighted to assist with that too. I am here to make things easier for the family. As a parent you should be able to do your work, have breaks and not be too worried about what’s happening with your kids.
