"Dear Family" message

Dear family, my name is Tanaka M. I am a young woman who has a passion and love for children and wishes to use this passion to gain more experience in childcare, while simultaneously furthering my studies. I have completed a degree in Psychology and Linguistics and have an understanding of various child and early childhood development concepts. I have two significantly younger siblings and growing up I have always been referred to as their second mom. The experience of helping raise my siblings is one that has been both rewarding and absolutely fulfilling, a key reason as to why I have such a heart for children. This experience has also aided me and exposed me to various sensitive situations with children that I am now able to handle and best address in a sensitive and effective manner taking into consideration the academic knowledge that I have gained as well.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

My gained knowledge from my degree in Psychology has given me a key sense of sensitivity that is required when in any field or position of caring for a child/children. I'm driven and dedicated in all that I do, even more so in the role of influencing and assisting. I am patient, have good time-management, and able to communicate intentionally all characteristics of which I believe make a great au pair. I see myself as reliable as well as adaptable and I am always looking for new experiences and challenges to keep growing as a person.
