"Dear Family" message

My name is Inge, I am currently studying at Caversham Education Institute, where I’m studying Early Childhood Development. I live on my own and have a valid drivers license and my own car. I’m originally from Paarl, but I’m now living in Brackenfell whilst studying. My course is part time and I have class on every second Saturday of each month. My dream is to open my own educational early childhood school. My mom lives abroad and is a teacher, so I would say I got my love for children and education from her! My dad also lives in Brackenfell with his family and I’m very close with him as well. I am a family oriented person and I’m very independent and reliable. I have 3 step siblings and a young cousin who I have helped with school work and babysitting. I try to be active on the weekdays by going to the gym. On weekends I enjoy spending time with family and friends and sometimes also enjoy spending time alone at home. I also enjoy going to the shooting range with my dad. I like catching up on my favourite TV series, reading and I love listening to music!

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I have experience with children and childcare. I have been working as a teacher assistant at 2 exceptionally primary schools in Paarl. I was working as an aftercare teacher and creche teacher at a farm school outside of Paarl for about 6 months before moving to Brackenfell. I was also working with a lovely family in Paarl as an au pair for a few months before I started my job at the farm school. I am currently studying Early Childhood Development and I’m now gaining the knowledge on how to work with children and seeing them as competent and capable and therefore helping them through guidance. I was also a infant class teacher at a preschool in Bellville and I am currently a teacher working with 3-5 year old children at the same preschool. I adore working with infants and toddlers. Thanks to my studies, I have gained a lot of knowledge about the National Curriculum Framework regarding ECD in South Africa and all the milestones and learning development of infants, toddlers and preschoolers (3-5 years old). I understand the importance of baby development and I am eager about it. I enjoy working with children and I am a quick learner who are able to think on my feet. I also have level 1-3 first aid.
