Description of tutoring experience

I have conducted informal tutoring during my time as a child minder/facilitator. This is where I helped complete homework and assignments for my au pairing children. I have also completed my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course that consisted of 168 of guided learning where I learnt about lesson planning and and the different aspects of teaching English including grammar, pronunciation, receptive and productive skills.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I have dedicated the last four years of my life to studying humans and their behaviour, not only because of my deep interest in why we do what we do but because I am beyond passionate about making a difference. I strongly believe that providing a supportive and comforting environment for children is so important to a solid foundation in their growth and development. I believe that my passion within psychology truly links to being an au pair.

Hobbies and other interests

Other than reading my in-depth textbooks, I love research! I love to expand my knowledge in fields that I am interested in. I also love to create art and have a creative outlet by drawing. I also love growing my little veggie garden and maintaining a clean space. I love to do community service work, I am a support group leader for the Tshwane Leadership Foundation where we use art-based intervention to help the young children and teenagers on their journey of personal growth and understanding themselves better.
