Tutoring my sister and her friends while in school was always fun, so after I finished High school I decided to go and work as a pre school teacher at "Kleinfontein Kleuter en leer Akademia" in Randfontein. After a while I decided I wanted to try something different so, I became a tutor for Craimar Academy in Horison, Roodepoort. I worked with math, technology, natural science an English. I then went to America and was a volunteer tutor at Bennett Elementary helping children with special needs

Introduction to families
Hi future Family. My name is Q'raine Nel, I am from Randfontein and with this introduction I would like to tell you more about myself! I am an au pair that is just finished 16 month contract in America and would like to further pursue au pairing. I love children and helping academically. I took care of an 8 year old with autism, cerebral palsy and ADHD. I helped her with daily tasks and getting her to and from school. Afterwards I help with extra school work and worksheets since she is a little behind with math. I also took care of 2 girls ages 2 and 4 and spent the whole day with them. I helped with potty training and activities to help stimulate them and prepare them for pre school.
I would make the perfect au pair because I enjoy work and play. Every child needs a balance between mental and physical activity and while au pairing in America I learned how to manage a great work, play schedule that not only helped with school work, but also made the experience fun. I also believe that I would make a the perfect au pair because I learned how to work with children from different backgrounds, helping me learn how to work with children from all age groups
I would describe myself as a reliable, friendly, positive, and open-minded woman who is interested in getting to know new people. In my free time, I love doing different kind of sports activities such as hockey and working out. Staying active is a big part of my life. (I did however have a surgery a few months back and I am working my way to into my active lifestyle) Furthermore, I enjoy baking, meeting my friends, watching new films at the cinema, reading a good book and like to travel the world. I would describe myself as a hard-working, easy going, dedicated and responsible person. Sometimes I might be shy and a little reserved at first, but that is not something that bothers at all, I am very flexible. For me, safety, health, and happiness of children are most important.

8 year old female
I was an au pair so I prepared meals, drove her to school, drove her to after school activities, helped with school work and set up play dates. On days where there was no playdates I would play games with her myself.

Q’raine was very responsible and had a great work ethic. She built a fun and loving bond with my daughter and used her teaching skills to help my daughter progress in math, an area she struggles with. One area of opportunity for her though is around communication and emotional maturity. Q’raine would take small things very personally, and if she did talk about any issues, it was usually by lashing out. To be a bit fair, it has been a year since she left us and she may have grown and learned since then. She does a good job as an au pair but if she does join your family, try to establish strong, open and clear communication with her from the start

Entertaining, caring and teaching children from the infant up until the age of 7. I had to keep the children busy and ensure safety when at the playground. I also had the duty of helping the aftercare primary school children with their homework grades 1,4 and 7.
