Tutoring Experience: I have been a tutor for more than four years, and it has indeed been a great journey. I tutor the folIowing subjects: Primary School All subjects High School English, History, Geography and IsiZulu University - Undergraduate modules Geography and Urban and Regional Planning Related Modules Tutoring Approach: I use study notes which are based on the student's level of understanding of a certain subject when it comes to tutoring my students. I also use summarised notes that I have summarised myself when tutoring my students. I then give homework and tasks to my students to track their academic progression. Lastly, once completing the studying phase we then move to exam preparations by going through exam past papers to familiarise the students on the type of questions 'that they can expect in their examination assessments. Introduction to families
Dear potential family, I am a suitable candidate. I believe I am one because I have child facilitation experience and I also know how to communicate effectively with children. I know how to engage well with children and to assist children with their academics. I am also not afraid to gain and ask for clarification if needed and I remain honest at all times. I like maintaining an open and effective communication and I believe that it is needed when one has to deliver au pairing services to families. I enjoy working with children of all ages, and I am a bubbly individual who likes getting along with people and sustaining a positive relationship with people throughout. Such qualities are crucial when dealing with families and their children, a positive and effective communication is needed at all times. I sincerely hope that we can hand in hand together and deliver a great aupairing service to your family Yours Truly’ Silindile N
As mentioned above, my name is Silindile N. I am a Wits Graduate and I have a Bachelor in Science Degree in Urban and Regional Planning. I realised later that I was not satisfied with the Urban Planning career path and perhaps I have more passion with student support and tutoring. I then decided to change as I am currently studying part time at MANCOSA, and I am doing a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology Management (PGDITM). I decided to do PGDITM to advance my IT skills and IT support in order to grow in the online education field since I am currently freelancing at an online homeschooling academy, and I have experience with working for online institutions. I have more than four years tutoring and child facilitation experience. I tutor the following subjects: English, History, isiZulu and Geography. I also have plans of studying a PGCE (Post-Graduate Certificate in Education) in 2023 after completing my PGDITM this year in July 2022, as I also have a passion for teaching and working with children. I fully believe that pursuing a PGCE qualification will enable me to be a qualified teacher and pursue my career in education and teaching. I matriculated in an all-girls popular high school in Durban known as Westville Girls’ High School and I matriculated in the year 2014. During my years in university, I used to tutor and facilitate for an Agency known as First Tutors Agency South Africa. I use to tutor and facilitate both primary school students to first year university students. I started tutoring and facilitating from 2016 till 2019 at First Tutors Agency South Africa. In my final year in university I worked as a January Technical Assistant at an e-learning service provider which is known as ITSI, my role was to provide technical support to teachers and learners and I was assigned at Prestige College in Protea Glen, Soweto. I really enjoyed working for ITSI and dealing and assisting young children and as well as teachers.
