Introduction to families
Hi. My name is Ana, I'm brazilian and I'm 36 years old. I've been living in South Africa for 7 years and I love it here, South Africa is a very special place. I did all my schooling in Brazil and graduated in Aviation Studies in 2012. In 2013 I met my husband and moved to SA in 2015 where I've been living since then.
I have worked as an au pair for an American family in 2010 and I had the best time of my life while I lived with them. I have always been a responsible person but looking after kids in a different country gave it a new meaning. I had to grow new skills like being aware of the environment, making sure it was child friendly and that they could be themselves without the parents or me worrying they could get hurt. I learned to be more observant, dedicate my attention to each one of them considering their personalities. Artsy activities such as painting or cooking are one of my favorites, they are tools to keep children's creative juices flowing and also a good way to use a lot of the energy they have. I also learned to be more focused as I had to look after the 3 of them at the same time, it wasn't easy but it made me a better planner, as I started getting my days planned in a way I could attend to all their needs. I pride myself on giving attention to details but details that matter, the kids safety are my priority. You won't see me drive off without checking if everyone in the car is seated and properly buckled up. I believe in time to play but there will be time for the serious stuff too, like showing them how to care and look after themselves, teach them to be confident and mentally strong.
I have recently found a love for sewing for children. So if I have some extra time, you'll find me in the sewing room, either sewing something for my 3yo niece or any cute children's garment I found a pattern for. I also enjoy exercising, I usually am up 4am and I head to the gym around 5am. It keeps me healthy and my energy levels up to keep up with my daily routine.

Boy (3), girl (1), boy (infant)
General routine. Getting them up in the morning and ready for school, meal prepping, playtime, bath and time outside if weather permitted. Also helping them dressed and ready for bed time, cleaning up after them (playroom and toys back to the boxes) and getting laundry/ironing sorted once they were having a nap. Occasionally staying with them until 10pm if parents had any evening commitments.
