Dear Family, I hope you are healthy and well during these unprecedented times! My name is Kayla G, I am a student at Varsity College studying Bcom Financial Management and Accounting. I will have completed my studies by the end of February 2021. I also have a huge interest in psychology and try to learn more about various topics in my spare time. I also enjoy practicing mindfulness and awareness and try to better myself every day. I enjoy many different hobbies, such as baking and cooking, art, dog-walking (I love my dogs to pieces!), music and hiking occasionally. I have 5 years driving experience.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I believe I would make the perfect au pair because I have been around children my entire life. Not only do I have a younger brother (9 years old), but I also have a huge tight-knit family and many younger cousins whom I have watched growing up and babysat throughout the years. I have a huge interest in learning about child development/psychology and positive reinforcement, as well as learning what each individual child’s needs are - children (and humans in general) are so fascinating to me! I also have a wide range of skills that I feel would be helpful to a family, such as cooking and baking, driving and adaptability to change. I am a kind-hearted person and go out of my way to help others, but still know how to set healthy boundaries and believe in positive reinforcement/affirmations rather than conflict. I am extremely understanding and empathetic. I am also comfortable with all other living creatures and would be able to look after any animals in the house as well.
