Description of tutoring experience

I started my own tutoring centre when I moved to Nelspruit. I tutored students under IEB, CAPS, impaq and CambriLearn. I was able to tutor because of my teaching experience at a school. I also did the extra lessons at the school I previously taught at.

"Dear Family" message

Dear family. My name is Nadia and I am 25 years old with a heart and passion for kids. I have been a primary/highschool teacher for 3 years with other child care experiences in between. I run a baking business on the side. I moved to nelspruit about a year ago (2021) after getting married. My previous work was in JHB where I was an au pair as well.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I would make the perfect au pair because not only do I have experience in teaching and child care but because I really just love to serve and help. If I can meet the needs of a family, a parent or even a child, then I have served in my purpose for the day. I am a creative at heart and I can make dull and practical experiences fun. I will do everything required of me and more. I would describe myself as patient and loving. I have a very high tolerance for children.

Hobbies and other interests

I am a baker and event planner on the side. In todays world you have to make an income out of your hobbies and passions and that’s what I’m doing. I am the wife of a pastor, so my wifely duties is to counsel and spend as much time with our congregation members as possible. I also run a youth group at a local high school on Friday evenings. If you don’t find me at work, you find me behind an oven and a stove, making delicious treats (for orders) and to make peoples tummy’s happy.

Collect from school, take to after school activities, prepare lunches and bags for the current and next day. Assist with homework, projects and studying. Spend quality time stimulating them and helping their imaginations expand. Stay for longer when mum and dad have late running commitments or date nights. Job description

I’ve been baby sitting on occasion for this family since 2017, since the 3 year old was born. In 2021 I began to au pair for them. My responsibility’s were to prepare the children for the day, make breakfast and feed them and put the baby down for a nap. During the baby’s naps, I would create a school space for the 3 year old, homeschooling and doing activities that stimulate her physical and mental development as if she were in a nursery school. we’d set time aside for make and bakes and even help her do things like make her own sarmies or pouring liquids I’d prepare lunches for the whole family too. I’d create and play activities suitable for both age groups and development categories. Initiating tummy time for baby and stimulating her physical and mental development as well. Eventually I taught baby to crawl and walk. I’d baby sit on the occasional weekend and prepares dinners if mum and dads schedules didn’t permit it. I relocated to Johannesburg with my fiancé at the time because
