Introduction to families

"Dear Family" message

Dear family, I live with my parents and big sister in Newlands West, Durban. I enjoy spending time with kids, sometimes more than being around adults. I have actually applied to become an au pair in USA but due to Covid it didn't work out despite having found a host family with 2 little girls that wanted me. I am responsible, reliable, talkative, relatively fit and healthy, open minded, and non judgemental. I don't go out much but if I do it's usually with family, I am a family orientated person and would like to work for a family that treats me like family, and not just as an employee and where I feel comfortable. From what I know, kids do like me, at first it may be uncomfortable which is normal sometimes but with time they get used to me and get comfortable with having me around to help them and play with them.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I am patient and I feel that is something really important when it comes to kids. I'm fun and silly and I can play with kids just like I am of their age, I listen and show interest in whatever they are saying. But at the same time I am an adult capable of looking after them. I am responsible and do not need much guidance but will ask if necessary. I feel that I would make the perfect au pair because of these specific qualities amongst others. I feel kids should be able to be kids and I will give them that freedom and safe space to do so whilst keeping them safe and controlling what's necessary.

Reading, playing with my pets, watching tiktok, hiking, watching movies and series, baking, going shopping, painting.. Other interests : I like to try new things, experiment with new experiences even if I'm not particularly good at it, as well as some fun with outdoor activities.
