Dear Family, I would like to introduce myself as Pam, 45 years old, single mum with a love for kids. I have a 16 year old son who is the light of my life and I have a special way with children. I have a soft yet firm handle and I'm full of fun. I love making people laugh and I am genuine and committed plus I can get down to kids levels and understand them well. I also have an awesome sense of humor, am very bubbly and fun.. I live in Highlands North next to Balfour Park Shopping Centre and I'm available immediately. I have my own car and I'm also available pretty much any hours as my mom takes care of my son when I'm not home.. I would like to find a family around the North or North Eastern Suburbs. Why I would make the perfect au pair

I believe I would be the perfect au pair for your family as I have loads of patience, a fun and loving way with kids and I love to teach and learn from them. I am always making jokes and kids flock to me. I have brought up a wonderful well mannered and kind 16 year old son whom I am extremely proud of. I like to interact with kids on their level and we always have lots of fun. I can be stern if need be and get on with whatever needs to be done. I enjoy caring for babies, toddlers, kids or teens, driving, lifting, errands or helping with homework and studies.. I do speak and understand Afrikaans but not fluently. I'm great with younger kids as well as toddlers and babies and am pretty much flexible with tasks as well as hours.. I have no experience with special needs kids but I would love to learn if you have that need so I can assist you. My 12 year old nephew has type 1 diabetes and has a pump so I have a bit of general knowledge on how things work with him. I would consider myself an all rounder.

Job description

I transported the kids to school in the mornings and back home in the afternoons. I took them to their extra murals and any other lessons or extra curricular activities they performed in. I did homework with both kids and helped them prepare for tests and projects. I helped the kids with study techniques to make learning for their tests a little easier. I made the kids snacks and did weekly grocery shopping plus any errands that were needed. I babysat in the evenings and over weekends when needed. I assisted Anne with certain tasks relating to her business too. I drove my car and at times I used Anne's car. I have had a wonderful year as Anne's Au Pair but sadly the family are relocating so I'm seeking a new position with a new wonderful family, could that be you?
